Kristen and I had a very successful trip to DC last weekend. We went to the Aria Dress showroom, tried on a bunch of dresses, and chose the color (fuschia with petal sashes), in silk shatung:
Rachel, Kristen, Meggan and Lisa will each get to choose their own style of dress. I give all the credit for finding this place to Meggan – she was researching maternity bridesmaid dresses when I was home at Christmas and found the company!
Before going home, we had doughnuts at The Fractured Prune (an awesome doughnut shop that Nik introduced me to) and then went to the Paper Source, a fabulous paper store in Georgetown where I will likely get my paper to make our invitations. That’s the kind of store where I could easily spend $100 and not even know I was doing it. Nik – consider yourself fairly warned that paper stores are dangerous places for me!
Love the bridesmaids dresses. The colors are perfect for a summer wedding!
As for the Paper Source. A VERY, VERY fun place, but I agree…it’s a bit dangerous for the pocketbook. Still, I always have to look when I’m near one of their stores.
Hello Laura! Yes, exploring is part of the adventure…but meeting the people along the way truly makes the day for me.
I’d assume there’s live cows somewhere in Israel/Palestine, but apparently Erica’s only seen the dead cows hanging in the market…so I guess seeing a live one was great! Who’d have guessed?
Great to hear that wedding plans are coming together. June will be here before you know it! -L
And now I have to find a fuschia cummerbund…great…just great…thanks for nothing Laura!
Just kidding…I always go for a more muted color in my cummerbunds…like taupe…or…periwinkle…um…*runs away*
yea, laura’s getting married, whis you woulda told me, i guess that puts me in my place, thanx a lot LJ, ummm…can i be best manly man???-Benjay
hey, when did you send the color swatches to Meggan?
