Signs of Spring

Nik likes to call this picture, “Cutting the Grass, Wendell Berry Style”  See our nice, new push mower?  Nik likes it much better than our old, smelly, heavy gas mower!

(These are peonies, right?  I didn’t even know we had so many.  I thought there was only one plant!)

Yes, those are peonies!  It does look like a nice big clump – you could probably divide some of it out and spread the wealth around your yard or give some away.  Do you know what color and form of flowers these are?  I hope they’re fragrant.  I love the scent of peonies.  Nice mower.  If it were up to me I would have a Neuton electric mower – also silent and a little easier for someone of my advanced age!

i really enjoy push mowers-except the edges. we have to use our electric weedwacker for the edges. your new plant is lovely. i wish flowers were up here.

  3. You know, I’ve heard that hand mowers are so much better for the environment, so good for you! I like your plants, you’re taking care of them very nicely!
