EDIT: I added the link to my blog where I gave grilled pizza instructions!
Tina (Nik’s mom) came over for dinner tonight and we made grilled pizza again. It was so good! This time, I rolled out the dough with a rolling pin which worked much better than trying to do it with our hands. I was able to get it fairly thin and the crust came out really crispy. Nik and I could eat it all the time! We just watched a Cook’s Illustrated video online about making grilled pizza and they suggested making a spicy oil with olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes as the sauce. Their way of making the pizza is more complicated than ours (we like our toppings better) but I want to try their crust next time. We have just been buying pizza dough from the local pizza place up the street. It’s two dollars for enough crust for four grilled pizzas and the dough is really good. So the ease of that may be hard to pass up (sort of like the frozen pie crust Zona!).
And for dessert, it was the encore edition of a dessert that I made for my friends on Saturday night: mango sorbet, frozen raspberries from the Labor Day picking expedition, mini mint Milanos, and mint from our front porch. Beautiful, if I do say so myself!
SO beautiful! Grilled pizza sounds so good. Can you put the how-tos on sometime? And now I’m wondering if you already did. Hmmm.
that dessert is absolutely beautiful.
That dessert makes me crave sorbet! You are quite the cook!
