Sabbath Sewing: The Skirt Back is Finished!

My Sabbath sewing project is moving right along.  I might even finish it before Christmas!

Last week, I finished the back and made the binding.  I think I might like the back even more than the front.

Now I just have to make the quilt sandwich, quilt it, cut into it to turn it into a tree skirt, and bind it.  Exciting!

Both sides are beautiful, the binding also, but I think I’m partial to the front. It glows!

Oh, I LOVE the back! It is wonderful. Love the log cabin squares – very nicely done! It will basically be reversible, right? So you can use either front or back, whichever makes you happy when you set up your tree!

Thanks Zona! And yes, it’s definitely reversible! I’ve been collecting Christmas fabric for awhile so I put all my traditional bright green and red fabrics on one side and my more subdued red/green/brown on the other. So depending on our mood/decorating theme for the year, we can choose! And I had a ton of fun making those log cabins – so easy and satisfying!
