Ellie is still sick – the doctor said that it was a virus and nothing to worry about. But it’s been over a week now and I want to know why the breast milk antibodies haven’t kicked in yet! But today she took a TWO-HOUR nap. That was even better than the 1-hour nap that I raved about a few days ago.  It was particularly nice to have her sleep longer today because I have a bad sore throat and felt the need for some down-time myself.

She’s really growing and changing.  She weighed 10.5 pounds at her 1-month check up and had also grown 3 inches.  She’s looking at us for longer periods of time, making such cute noises, and is turning into such a fun little person.

Tomorrow, I’m venturing out to Bible study for the first time since she was born.  I’m a little apprehensive about being gone from the house for that long but I suppose I need to get used to it eventually.  Wish me luck!
