I had my six-week postpartum appointment yesterday. All is well! We wanted to give our midwife and nurses something to express our gratitude for how wonderfully kind and supportive they were to us during Mark’s long labor and delivery.
Nik’s mom made them baklava (lucky for us she made an extra pan!) and I made them these little zip pouches.
For Katya, Holly, and Lucille!
I used the tutorial from Noodlehead (slightly modified); I especially love the little bit of detail that ends up on the bottom of the bag.
The lining of the yellow bag is my favorite although I do like them all.
Even though these pouches are quite simple, it still felt like a big task to find the time to make them (basically when Ellie was sleeping and Nik was home to hold Mark). So don’t be expecting too many more sewing posts in the near future!
It did feel nice to be back home at my sewing machine again.

That was such a nice gift to give them! I’m amazed you found time too. Wish you the best with your newest little. Glad everything is going fine.
Thank you so much!
As always, Laura, these are an example of your beautiful work. I’m sure they will be treasured!
Thank you Mom!
