Ellie has recently begun singing independently and I love hearing her versions of the songs that we sing.
“Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” is a current favorite of hers. This is crazy to me because I hardly ever sing it to her – basically,we sing it once a week at playgroup. (And that is a good reminder why I probably shouldn’t even bother trying to get her to talk like me!) This video is from about a week ago. She now adds in a few more words (like, “sky”) but the substance remains the same.
“The Itsy Bitsy Spider” is also a favorite around here but we rarely sing it with the word spider in it. Generally, we sing about a very small Mama, Baba, Ellie, Baby, Pappou, or Yiayia. It’s much more fun that way!
Oh my, that was precious!
She actually requested to make the Itsy Bitsy video instead of nursing to make herself feel better after hurting herself! 🙂
How fun! I was impressed how she remembered through the whole ‘itsy-bitsy’ song who was climbing up the water spout!
She’s far better about remembering that than I am, Zona! 🙂 Usually she corrects me when I say, “spider” accidentally.
Oh.My.WORD….i have no words to express how stinkin cute that was!!! “Wash Pappou out” “itsy bitsy Paappou” I cannot wait to show this to the girls!!!
Hope they love it! 🙂
