I am basically finished with sorting and purging our whole house. I just finished our basement. All I have left is our office file cabinet and the garage. We already did a lot in the garage two weeks ago so that probably won’t take us long. The file cabinet can wait because there’s no chance I’m going to sell anything in there at the yard sale.
So – I’m free!
I can’t even express how great it is to walk into the basement or walk upstairs or look into a closet and think, “I know what everything is in here and I want it all.” There’s no reproach, no judgement, no guilt. Just freedom.
I highly recommend it.
I’m in awe. Do you hire out?
Sure – why not!?! For you, I wouldn’t even charge an hourly rate, just the cost of our trip. So plane tickets for Nik and I (Ellie is still free), food, and a rental car and you’ve got yourselves a personal “throw it out!” adviser!
I have been telling Eric for weeks now we need to get rid of half of the stuff in this house. I am not happy with our home, and buying a new one wont fix it. We just need less stuff.
Good on you!
Ditch it all Meggan. It’s really hard for me to believe how much happier I am even just being in our house. I don’t cringe when I go downstairs to do laundry and I don’t avoid certain rooms/closets of our house anymore. Plus keeping the house clean/non-cluttered is becoming so much easier!
