(Because I can’t seem to marshall my more serious thoughts!)
1. Outside of our office windows, we have a beautiful dogwood tree that is often full of squirrels and birds, coming and going. I love sitting at my desk and watching them. The other day, Nik watched a squirrel take a nap on a branch – have you ever seen a squirrel do that?! I’ve often thought/hoped that our kids would also love sitting/standing at the windows and watching the animals too, particularly on the days when it’s too hot to go outside. I had the fun of watching Jonas and Ezra do just that when they were here visiting and thought, “I knew it!” (I just watched a squirrel eat a little snack, which made me think of it again.)
2. I don’t think our baby likes the computer. Every time I sit here, he/she makes all kinds of crazy motions, as if trying to escape – either that or force me to choose a new position away from the computer. So perhaps this baby will help me in my evaluation of how much screen time I consume every day! (Read Hamlet’s Blackberry for an idea of some of what I’m thinking about.)
Baby’s already expressing his/her views, huh?! Better get ready for this one! Can’t wait to see that little face!
I enjoyed your non-serious thoughts, by the way!
